The SGE ASF9 took place on 22-23 March 2018 in Kiev, Ukraine.
All SGE ASF Member countries attended (Russian partially attended by videoconference) as well as sven Observer countries, at the invitation of Dr B. Van Goethem, President of the GF-TADs for Europe.
Presentations focused on countries’ situation since the SGE ASF8 (Moldova, September 2017), and the SGE ASF country Reports of Czech Republic and Romania were presented and adopted (they are now available online on this page). Technical presentations on ‘ Cross border cooperation addressing (legal and) irregular movements of pigs and their products‘ were made by experts from the World Customs Organisation (T. Hesselink), EC/DG F (J. McEvoy) and 2 country experiences (LV; UA) concretely illustrated the topic.
Finally, a state of play of the GF-TADs Handbook on ASF in wild boar and biosecurity measures during hunting (decided during the SGE ASF6) was presented.
