Digitalization of the OIE PVS Gap Analysis

First pilot remote mission with the Veterinary Services of Kazakhstan

The Veterinary Services of Kazakhstan have been experiencing (accepting) the first pilot remote OIE PVS Gap Analysis mission which has been adapted to the current global circumstances.

This type of PVS Gap Analysis mission consists in helping member countries to define an action plan and a budget for the Veterinary Services allowing them to implement the national strategies in compliance with the international standards of the OIE Code.

This new version is guided by the following objectives:

  • A better adaptation of these missions to the political priorities of the country.
  • Greater involvement of the countries in the development of the action plan to update it more easily.
  • The digitization of this service with a database allowing Veterinary Services of the country to have access to data and to adjust the plan according to discussions at the national level.

It will be recalled that it is the second Gap Analysis mission for Kazakhstan. The previous mission took place in 2011.
