Today, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), and the World Health Organization (WHO), known as the Tripartite, are launching a common project “One Health capacity building to support priority actions for combatting antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Tajikistan” supported by the Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF).
The goals and objectives of this Tripartite project are aligned with the current AMR National Action Plan in Tajikistan, to support the implementation of specific activities that aim to strengthen AMR/Antimicrobial Use (AMU) surveillance in all sectors, to strengthen regulations on the appropriate use of antibiotics in all sectors, to reinforce infection prevention and control through biosecurity, hygiene, and WASH programs and to improve awareness and education for key groups.
This Tripartite project will provide the technical expertise and support needed by the Government to support the implementation and monitor of these specific activities.
Four outcomes are planned in this project:
Antibiotic resistant germs as virus or bacteria cells as a deadly mutated viral disease attacking a pill with a punch as a medical pathology ilness with 3D illustration elements.
