The WOAH Networking Breakfast with Agricultural and Veterinary Attachés was held on 12 February 2026 at the WOAH Sub-Regional Representation in Brussels. The event brought together representatives from over 25 WOAH members, providing an opportunity to maintain dialogue with diplomatic representations and to present key WOAH global and regional activities.
Participants were introduced to the WOAH Brussels office team, including the new Sub-Regional Representative Lajos Bognar and received updates on upcoming major events: the 93rd WOAH General Session (May 2026, Paris) and the 32nd Conference of the Regional Commission for Europe (September 2026, Latvia).

Finally, through the discussion, participants highlighted several priorities topics to be considered for future activities, including biosecurity and biothreat preparedness, the need for coordinated European and global approaches to address vector-borne diseases in the context of climate change, as well as the use of digitalisation and artificial intelligence to support Veterinary Services.
The networking breakfast reinforced dialogue mechanism between WOAH Sub Regional representation in Brussels and diplomatic representations. Participants confirmed the need to continue with regular meetings, providing them with timely updates to facilitate engagement with WOAH activities and support cooperation between Veterinary Services across the region.
