The International Standards aim to improve animal health and welfare as well as veterinary public health worldwide, for both terrestrial and aquatic animals.
The World Organisation for Animal Health is the WTO reference organisation for standards relating to animal health and zoonoses. The WOAH publishes 2 codes (Terrestrial and Aquatic) and 2 manuals (Terrestrial and Aquatic) as the principle reference for WTO members.
