From November 27 to 29, a pivotal Quadripartite Workshop on Multisectoral Coordination for Tackling Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) was held in Nevşehir, Türkiye. This three-day event marked a significant step in advancing the AMR roadmap for Europe, bringing together stakeholders from public health, veterinary medicine, and the environmental sector.
The workshop centered on fostering collaboration across sectors to address AMR challenges effectively. Guided by the United Nations General Assembly’s Declaration on Antimicrobial Resistance principles, participants worked to strengthen national commitments at high decision-making levels. A key outcome was developing recommendations to align Türkiye’s national AMR action plan with the “Antimicrobial Resistance Roadmap for the WHO European Region 2023-2030.”
