The Tenth meeting of the Regional Core Group of the OIE Regional Commission for Europe (RCG10) will be held in London, United Kingdom, thanks to the financial support of the Swiss Confederation and the Government of the United Kingdom.
The meeting will offer an opportunity to discuss OIE and countries recent and upcoming activities of interest in the region. The discussions will particularly cover the OIE Council activities, the outcome of the September meetings of the Terrestrial and Aquatic Code commissions. A follow-up on the actions of the OIE Animal Welfare Platform for Europe, the OIE communication strategy and best OIE practices for communication, the development of the OIE website for Europe will be developped. The participants will also be invited to start preparing the upcoming General Session, including the activities related to the adoption of the 7th Strategic Plan.
Some of the RCG members will present OIE activities in their respective countries. The Regional Core Group members will discuss the update of the Terms of references for the group, and the financial report and possible funding gaps in various OIE activities of interest for the region.
