A sub-regional workshop is co-organized in Moscow (22 November 2019) by the Public-Private Partnership between the International Horse Sport Confederation (IHSC) and the OIE.

Its main objective : to facilitate temporary international movements of Competition Horses in Equestrian Sports and Horse Racing.

This workshop will address the most important points to facilitate safe temporary international movement of competition horses:

  • reliable certification of horses, according to OIE Standards on equine diseases and diagnostic tests, and to the “High health, high performance” horse (HHP) framework
  • good quality of the Veterinary Services in charge of the certification.

This workshop intends to bring together representatives of National Veterinary Authorities, National Equestrian Federations and National Customs Administrations. It will support the further development of their necessary capacities for temporary regional movements of competition horses. This workshop will create solid bases in the region to, ultimately, enable safe temporary international movements of such horses from and to the sub-region.

The target group of participants consists of National Veterinary Authorities, Equestrian Federations and Customs Administrations of countries of FEI Group III engaged in international equestrian sports (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan).
