On July 13, 2026, the WOAH Regional Representative for Europe, Dr. Budimir Plavšić, and the Minister in charge of Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Mr. Alexander Subbotin, met together with their respective teams to review progress and discuss the next steps in WOAH-EEC cooperation.

The exchange focused on priority transboundary animal diseases, international standards as a common foundation for effective veterinary regulation and safe trade, implementation of the 2025-2027 Joint Action Plan, and opportunities to further strengthen technical and institutional cooperation.

By combining expertise, mandates and regional networks, WOAH and the EEC are working to deliver practical benefits for Members and to advance animal health and welfare across the region.
