On November 21st, the Quadripartite activity continued in Kazakhstan with the 2nd Partners Forum for Health, themed “Environmental Health Challenges and Possible Solutions through the Human-Animal-Environmental Interface.” The Forum strengthened support for Kazakhstan’s efforts to improve the health and well-being of its people, focusing on the intersection of environmental preservation and public health.
Key discussions addressed pressing health issues, including policies and strategies to enhance public health through environmental protection. The Forum highlighted the significant impact of environmental disasters on public health, particularly in regions where ecological degradation has led to health crises. It emphasized that maintaining a healthy environment is essential for disease prevention and food security.
A prominent example of the connection between environment and health was the Aral Sea environmental catastrophe, underscoring the long-term consequences of ecological mismanagement on human health. The Forum provided a valuable platform for sharing knowledge, exchanging best practices, and discussing ways to tackle the challenges arising at the intersection of human, animal, and environmental interactions.
