12) OIE and FAO weekly reports on the situation of ASF worldwide

The OIE WAHIAD (World Animal Health Information and Analysis Department) is now publishing a weekly report presenting an overview of the ASF events worldwide, with ongoing outbreaks notified by its Members through the OIE’s Early Warning System.

A classification of the affected population (backyard swine, farm swine and wild boar) was made considering their different roles in the epidemiology of the disease.

The FAO produces an ASF situation in Asia, updated weekly.

 

13) African swine fever in wild boar – ecology and biosecurity
(English, Lithuanian, Spanish)
This is the official publication, in the series of FAO Animal Production and Health Manuals, of the former “Handbook on African Swine Fever in wild boar and biosecurity during hunting”, which was originally drafted under the umbrella of the GF-TADS standing group of experts on ASF in Europe. This official version replaces the provisionnal document made available online on this page as of September 2018.

 

14) Outbreaks investigation and data collection
Assessment of biosecurity in pig farms: BIOCHECK method. The tool is currently being tested in Belgium. It was developed by the University of Ghent, in the department of Professor J. Dewulf. https://www.biocheck.ugent.be/biocheck.php
